This patented Color LCD Alarm Clock module was originally designed for Westclox,^® now owned by Salton, Inc., Lake Forest, Illinois. It had been licensed to the previous owners of Westclox by Technomarket LLP, Chicago, but the license was terminated by Technomarket.

Sunbeam's clock division then engaged Beiswenger to design a digital alarm clock for them using the same technology (an early model is still available), but before the product could be put into production, Sunbeam's clock division was sold. No further attempts to license the technology were made by Technomarket.
