| How does it work? Using a digital thermometer and peak-flow meter, take your temperature as soon as you wake up, before getting out of bed. This temperature is your basal metabolic temperature (BMT). Next, stand, breath in deeply and blow through the peak-flow meter as hard and quickly as you can. Repeat and record your second reading. This is your peak expiratory flow (PEF). Go online as soon as possible and enter the data as prompted. Your daily weight should also be recorded.
After answering the questions asked, you will receive a personal, computer-generated analysis and your PHM graph will be updated. Both can be forwarded to your health advisor, whoever or where ever they may be. Developing respiratory or non-respiratory infections can be detected up to two days before you experience significant symptoms using Predictive Health Monitoring, permitting early medical intervention. If the analysis I provide suggests you contact your health advisor, I strongly recommended you do so.
