Remarks: Mother died leaving three children. Dana was living with her grandmother who was unable to care for her and brought her to the Grace International Girls Home in September, 2007. She does well in school and the teachers are pleased with her. Dana would like to be an architect. She loves to draw and sing. She loves to play with the girls. Dana speaks wonderful English. She is a funny and outgoing young lady.

Remarks: Gabylah’s mother died 18 days after giving birth to twin girls in 2005. Gabylah, along with her twin sisters Gamella and Gamelle, was brought to the Grace International Girl’s Home by a relative as the father was unable to care for them. Gabylah is thriving and in good health. She is doing very well in school and she enjoys jumping rope and studying French and Biology. She is best in her class. Gabylah states that she would like to study medicine with the hope of being a doctor and help people who are sick.

Remarks: Mother died after childbirth leaving 6 children. Father and Aunt brought Esther and her sister Jesula to the Grace International Girl’s Home in 2004. Esther enjoys jumping rope, playing Uno and watching movies. She is also quite athletic and enjoys playing on a local girl’s football team .

Remarks: Keicha and her two sisters Fedna and Shama came to Grace Girl’s Home in November, 2016 after Hurricane Matthew destroyed the family garden. Keicha’s mother is very sick with an eye problem causing her to be almost blind and her father was unable to care for their four girls and three boys. Father and mother sought help from their church committees and agreed to send their three youngest girls to the Grace Girl’s Home. Sis. Irma Achoute, their aunt, brought Keicha and her two sisters to the Girl’s Home. Keicha and her sisters are happy to be together and they have found new friends at our Girl’s Home.

Remarks: Michelene was brought to the Grace International Girls Home with her younger brother Kepler in February 2009 by Pastor Beleck. Both were quite malnourished. Their mother was unable to care for them due to severe mental illness, and has since died. Michelene and her brother Kepler, who is in the Grace Boys Home, are both now flourishing. Michelene enjoys Science. She likes living in the Girls Home with her friends. She says also it is so special when the missionaries come and play with them.

Remarks: Kenia’s mother and father were killed in the earthquake. Her aunt was caring for Kenia and her sister Adassa and her brother Kensley, but due to a problem with polio, the aunt became too disabled to care for the young children. She brought the three children to the Grace Girl’s Home. Kenia is doing much better in school this year. She is very personable and has many friends.

Remarks: Lizare came to the Grace International Girls Home in 2006. Her mother had died and her father was severely injured in an accident. He was unable to work and needed help with his children for them to survive. He does visit her at the orphanage. Lizare does work hard in school and gets encouragement from her teachers. She is personable, and enjoys many friends in the Girl’s Home. She likes to tell jokes and stories to her girlfriends.

Remarks: Roseline was brought to the Grace International Girl’s Home in August, 2006. Her father is deceased. Her mother is living but mentally ill and unable to care for Roseline. She has had to repeat the 5th Grade because she has missed so much time from school due to her problems with sickle-cell. Roseline is very personable, and has many girlfriends at the Home. She enjoys singing very much and she says she also enjoys when the missionaries come and play games with the girls.

Remarks: Mother died one month after Lynn Sarah was born. In the following year, Lynn Sarah contracted TB and was treated. When Lynn Sarah came to Grace Girls Home, she could not talk at all. She has since been in special schooling and now can talk and sing and is learning to write. She likes to play Red Rover, Red Rover and Duck, Duck, Goose.

Remarks: Mother died December 2004, one month after Rolph-Lie’s young sister, Lynn Sarah, was born. Rolph-Lie and her sister were brought to the Grace Girls Home in July of 2008. They also have a brother, May Kensley, in the Grace Boy’s Home. They visit on Sunday when they attend church. Rolph-Lie states that her teachers are very happy with her work and she is doing well in school. She hopes to study medicine and would like to be a pediatrician so she may help mothers and babies.

Remarks: Kettia came to Grace Girl’s Home in October, 2013. She came from the Bon Samaritan Orphanage when the woman who ran the orphanage died. She is now in the 5th grade and does well in school. She is quite personable and she has now many girlfriends. She likes to clean the house. Her best friend is Gamelle.
